Konstantin (real name - Kirill) Simonov was a poet and prose writer who served as a war correspondent throughout the war and remained its chronicler and historian until the end of his life. At the front, he wrote five collections of stories, the story "Days and Nights", plays "Russian people", "So it will be", diaries, which later made up two volumes of his collected works, and, finally, poetry, which was eagerly awaited by the entire warring a country. "Wait for me" is one of the most famous poems by Simonov. After publication, it immediately became more than just a poem, for every soldier and for every family. Our program will feature favorite and rarely performed poems by Simonov, as well as songs to his words.
