Excursion on the interiors of the Alexandrinsky Theatre and the exposition of the Museum of Russian Drama

Excursion description:
Alexandrinsky Theater, the oldest state theater of our country, was once the main imperial stage of Russia. The majestic building, built by the project of the famous architect K.I. Rossi still allows you to experience the atmosphere of the brilliant and luxurious imperial theater.

During the tour, the guests of the theater will have the opportunity to walk through the Carriage Gallery, where magnificent crews once stopped; visit the Spectators and the Royal foyer; admire the luxurious auditorium. We offer guests to penetrate the secret life of the theater, usually hidden from the eyes of the audience. Tourists will be privy to the secrets of the Tsar's Box and the Personal Box of Emperor Nikolai. I will learn about the amazing discoveries found under the floor of the auditorium during the renovation in 2006, and numerous theater legends will be heard.

Thanks to the stage costumes and objects of theatrical life presented in the Museum of Russian Drama, the great performances of the Alexandrinsky Theater will revive in the imagination of the tourists: the luxurious Don Juan, the brilliant and tragic Masquerade by VE Meyerhold and A.Ya. Golovin and many others. During the tour, visitors will learn about the repertoire of the theater of the XIX and XX centuries, see the dresses from the personal wardrobe of actresses, the overcoats of theatrical porters, vintage tickets and sketches for famous performances.
