Performance "Road"

The circus drama "The Road" based on the film by Federico Fellini performed by artists of the St. Petersburg State Music and Drama Theater "ART".

The story is about a wandering artist, bestial strongman Zampano, who, during his performance in the arena, suddenly plunges into memories of long forgotten times.

His guides in this phantasmagoria are five crazy clowns. They restore the course of events, fooling around and transforming into various characters, trying to remind Zampano of the most important thing. About his funny, awkward and a little holy helper Jelsomin, who once, by the will of fate, met on his way.

The performance features the music of Nino Rota from Federico Fellini's films "8 ½" (1963), "Juliet and the Spirits" (1965), "Amarcord" (1973), "Casanova Fellini" (1976).

The performance is a laureate of the International Theater Festival "Vasara - Gyva Ugnis" (Lithuania) in the nomination "Best Female Role" (Vera Egorova) (2018).
