“When I was twenty years old, I recognized only myself,” shared the French composer Charles Gounod. — For thirty years I have been saying: "Me and Mozart", for forty years: "Mozart and me", and now I only say: "Mozart".
So the concert program will only feature Mozart, or rather, the chamber vocal and instrumental music of the composer, whose bright genius continues to inspire and introduce us to beauty and harmony from century to century. It is wrong to assume that Mozart created only cheerful works: there is plenty of evidence for this, including, for example, the Fortieth Symphony, the Twentieth Piano Concerto, the Requiem... However, even in the most dramatic scores, the composer seems to preserve the memory of the heavenly light, which always exists as an unshakable constant. Mozart's chamber vocal and instrumental legacy is rich and multifaceted: it includes works of various genres and ensemble compositions. The program will feature: Duet for Violin and Viola, Sonata for Flute and Piano in C major, Trio for Violin, Viola and Piano in C major, and songs. All of these works are characterized by sophistication and refinement, amazing inner harmony and “light breathing” — as if they appeared here and now completely naturally. A bright genius shines through each of these works, reminding us that among the reefs and storms of life there are corners of happiness and peace.
