"Musical Improvisation" is a unique concert where guests become co-authors of the music being performed: they set themes from the audience, and the musicians immediately create enchanting melodies.
This is a unique evening where emotions, reactions and ideas influence the course of the performance. Back in the 17th-18th centuries, the practice of free music-making was popular in music salons, when the performer composed melodies using improvisation. These were either motives that were created right in the moment, or impromptu versions of already written pieces. Together with "Petersburg-concert", the production agency PRO SHOW is reviving the tradition of improvisation concerts and inviting the audience to plunge into the magical world of music born here and now. As in previous centuries, the event will take place within the walls of an old 19th-century mansion — in the Mirror Hall of the Kochneva House. The art of improvisation will be demonstrated by the bright and talented Elizaveta Panchenko — organist, multi-instrumentalist, composer. Elizaveta graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory and postgraduate studies in the class of Professor S. M. Slonimsky. Specializes in the performance of baroque and modern music. Creator and artistic director of various non-standard ensembles, member of the Union of Composers of Russia. Participates in the international festivals "St. Petersburg Musical Spring" and "Moscow Autumn". Winner of the Van Wassenaer competition (Utrecht, 2016). The concert is held within the framework of the Musical Improvisation Club - a community created to popularize free music-making. Duration: 1 hour 00 minutes, no intermission. Age limit: 12+.
