The play "Crazy Jourdain" by Mikhail Bulgakov is a free transcription of Jean-Baptiste Moliere's "Bourgeois in the Nobility". The classic sitcom in Bulgakov's reading takes on a new vision - theater in theater. The viewer sees the Moliere troupe preparing to stage the next play. A theater with all the signs of behind-the-scenes intrigue and uneasy relationships. But now the team "curtain" sounds, and on the stage - reincarnated eccentric and naive Jourdain, dreaming of becoming a real representative of the upper class. He immediately becomes an object of ridicule and an excellent opportunity for profit for all sorts of fraudsters and intriguers who are willing to surround the protagonist with their "care".

The peculiarity of the play - the so-called "double play", where each actor performs at least two roles - allows the actors to further reveal their acting potential.
