This timeless tale of good and evil is filled with sparkling humor and subtle acting. The action unfolds in the most beautiful stateroom of the Kochneva House—the Mirror Room. This simple and instructive tale by the famous Dane tells the story of a capricious and ungrateful princess. It seems this miniature has it all: royal personages, magical gifts—a rose and a nightingale, a small pot of bells, and the princess's hundred kisses. But perhaps the greatest asset of this elegant literary exercise is its reflection on love and gratitude as communicative emotions. Viewers, young and old, will have plenty to laugh about, a little to feel sad about, and, at the very end, reflect on the fickle nature of happiness.
