All fans of passionate, exciting, and emotional tango will be treated to the most famous and popular examples of the genre composed in the 20th century. Anatoly Lomunov (tenor), international competition laureate Alexandra Savina (violin), and international competition diploma winner Lyudmila Khallaeva (piano) will treat the audience to sad and happy musical love stories that have moved and will continue to move listeners for centuries to come.

The evening will open with melodies by Russian composers familiar to many from childhood: "Moonlight Rhapsody" by Oskar Strok, "Autumn, Transparent Morning" by Vadim Kozin, "My Happiness" by Efim Rosenfeld, and "Dedication to Astor Piazzolla" by Leonid Desyatnikov. Then it's time for Argentine tango. The Kochneva House will feature Carlos Gardel's "Por uno cabezza" and, of course, Astor Piazzolla's tango nuevo masterpieces: "Chao, Paris"; "Adios"; "Rio Sena"; "Oblivion"; "Spring in Buenos Aires"; and "Libertango." These poignant and passionate compositions performed by the brilliant soloists of the Petersburg Concert will captivate both true tango connoisseurs and those discovering this musical style for the first time.
