This evening will be the first in a series of musical receptions held in the historic building of the Imperial Geographical Society. Since the mid-19th century, science and culture have intertwined here into a single symphony.

The "Russian Musical Seasons" team presents the premiere of a new musical series across countries and continents! This evening will be the first in a series of musical receptions held in the historic building of the Imperial Geographical Society. Since the mid-19th century, science and culture have intertwined here into a single symphony.

The program is structured as a musical journey across the map of cultural heritage. Throughout the series, audiences cross borders of countries and eras: French charm gives way to Italian expressiveness, sensual classical music echoes the romantic salons of Austria-Hungary, and the spirit of imperial St. Petersburg is reflected in every piano lick and the sound of works by great Russian composers.

The audience will be introduced to the evolution and transformation of music within the region from past to present.

The soiree begins with a glass of sparkling wine, and the musical majordomo invites you on a leisurely stroll through the halls, where you will discover state rooms that remember the receptions of grand dukes, the elite of Russian science, and the aristocracy.

To the sound of strings, we invite you to a concert in the Great Hall, where you will experience a unique concert!

The tour begins one hour before the concert (for guests who have purchased a separate ticket for the pre-concert tour). Duration of the guided tour 20 min.
