Inside the Orchestra. Evergreen Melodies

Petersburg Concert, the St. Petersburg Pop and Symphony Orchestra, and its Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Maestro Andrei Medvedev, invite guests to the Great Hall of the Catherine Assembly for a unique immersive program featuring personal sound technology, "Inside the Orchestra."

Since the 1980s, various philharmonic ensembles in Russia and around the world have invited their guests to experience the orchestra's interior. However, the uniqueness of this project with the Pop and Symphony Orchestra lies not so much in its immersive nature as in its special sound delivery technology: the listener finds themselves both in the concert hall and in the recording studio at the same time.

Imagine a concert where you don't just listen to the orchestra—you find yourself right inside it. At this moment, the very geometry of sound magically changes: the musicians are positioned at the center of the space, and the audience is right next to them. The barrier between stage and audience disappears, and you cease to be a mere observer and become part of a living musical organism. From the front row, you can see the scores, the emotions and precise movements of the performers, and the subtle interaction between the conductor and the instrumentalists. Literally a meter away, bows glide over the strings, the breath of the brass instruments is palpable, and the rhythm of the drums vibrates in your chest. The "Inside the Orchestra" project offers an exclusive opportunity to experience two worlds of sound within a single concert. Each guest will be given wireless headphones upon entering the hall. Upon putting them on, they will be able to appreciate the crystal-clear and detailed studio mix—just like a professional recording: without distortion of the hall's acoustics, with impeccable instrumental balance. You'll discern nuances typically only accessible to a sound engineer. You can remove your headphones at any time to experience the orchestra's vibrant energy. Depending on your seating position, your experience will be unique: near the drums, you'll feel the power of the percussion, near the brass, their rich, voluminous sound, and surrounded by the strings, the special warmth and depth of their timbres.

This evening, well-known compositions will be reimagined in a 360° format, where every audience member is an active participant in the musical experience.

Before the concert, there will be a brief explanation of the concept, and commentary from Maestro Andrey Medvedev will help you immerse yourself in the proceedings and connect with the legendary melodies in a new way. Special guests for the evening include Milana Urbanović, Pavel Kryukov, and Ana Agrba.

Seats are strictly limited to just 180 guests to maintain an intimate atmosphere and ensure each audience member feels as present as possible.

You won't hear such an orchestra anywhere else: no other format can so completely erase the boundary between performer and listener, allowing you to truly experience how music is born.
