Voices of myths. Chamberries Chamber Orchestra

What are myths? These are ancient texts carved in stone, ancient tales and traditions passed down from generation to generation. But what if legends can be not only read, but also heard?

The soloists of the Chamberries Chamber Orchestra will enliven the voices of fauns and forest nymphs, fiery dragons, sea monsters and majestic gods. The music will tell about the sea waves carrying away the king of Aegeus; about the icy expanses separating Skadi and Njord; about the first spring awakening the world; and about the great god Atar. The audience will get acquainted with the mythologies of different countries and, leaving reality for a while, immerse themselves in a fantasy world.

You will learn why natural elements are so important in myths, what legends are associated with the sun, the moon, and the sea, and which heroes inspired composers to create vivid musical images.

The Chamberries Chamber Orchestra's concert series is designed not only for children, but also for adults. There will be no boring lectures and complicated terms, just fascinating stories, live music and interactive moments that will bring the whole family together.

Each concert is an opportunity to discover something new with the children, to hear music that will become a common favorite, to discuss funny facts about composers and unexpected finds in the works. In these concerts, music will tell not only about itself but also about the world around it: about dance and movement, about literary heroes and great historical events, about philosophical ideas and the changing of eras. Chamberries will show how music reflects the mood of the times, how composers were inspired by poetry, paintings, and theatre. And most importantly, they will convince even the most discerning young audience that classics are interesting, understandable, and fun!
