The Silver Wind of Yesenin’s Lines

A musical and poetic evening in the Small Hall of the Ekaterininsky Assembly offers the audience a deep immersion into the complex, passionate, and contradictory poetic world of Sergei Yesenin through the trinity of music, words, and memories.

Alongside Yesenin’s poetry, the program will feature romances written to his verses by Russian composers. The music, imbued with the melodiousness of Russian folk songs, subtly conveys the full range of Yesenin's feelings, which he splashed out on paper: lyrical love for the motherland and aching sadness, bright joy and a deep connection between man and nature.

This concert will give you the opportunity to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle for a while and hear how the pure and eternal "silver wind" of Yesenin's lines sounds through time.
