Orpheus, Europe’s pet, is there.

Following the lines by Pushkin (from the verse novel “Eugene Onegin”), the musicians of “Petersburg‑Concert” invite you to attend an evening of opera music, which will be a delightful gift this autumn evening.

The programme includes the brightest, most joyful fragments from the masterpieces of opera classics, full of humour, merriment, passion and fire. And, of course, the audience will be treated to pleasant musical surprises.

The tone of the concert (as well as its title) will be set by Gaetano Donizetti’s famous opera “The Love Potion,” in which the touching relationships between the main characters are interspersed with comic incidents and amusing misunderstandings — but all of this is only to highlight the happy ending.
