St. Petersburg Drama Theater "Our Theater" presents: stage reading of the play by Seppo Kantervo

A Hollywood company has announced a casting for the role of the Russian Tsar Ivan the Terrible. The casting is held among Russian actors. Based on the results of the preliminary selection, three finalists are invited to Moscow: an actor from Tatarstan, from the Mari Republic, and the third from Chuvashia.

The candidates must pass creative tests for three days. The conditions are strict: no one must leave the premises, the actors are deprived of all means of communication (phone, Internet). They communicate with the producer online through a translator. A serious struggle for the role unfolds between the contenders for the promised cosmic fee. All participants consider themselves to some extent descendants and even relatives of the Russian Ivan the Terrible.

At the decisive moment, the casting is canceled due to a special military operation announced by Russia. A German actor is appointed for the role of the Russian Tsar. How will our heroes behave in these circumstances? How will the story with Hollywood end? The audience will find out at the very end. The ending is unexpected and largely unpredictable.
